We are a small mixed family farm located on the Bay of Fundy in the rural coastal community of Scots Bay, Nova Scotia. Joel is from the community and his family has roots here since the 1750s. Our farmstead is over 100 years old and we're honoured to now steward this land, house and outbuildings in various states of repair (!). Along with our small children Grace (4) and Connor (1), Joel and Ann Huntley are busy growing lots of veggies, pasture land for our free ranging chickens and maintaining fencing for our Shetland sheep, Alpine dairy goats - Peeper and Penelope, and working Percheron draft horse, Queenie. We also work with another farmer in the community to raise a couple of beef cattle each year. The kids are growing into fine farm helpers - Grace is an amazing egg collector and Connor loves "helping" Papa with machinery repair work - and we're convinced that a life "on the land" is the best spot for them. We are deeply committed to place, our land and our community and so thankful for the support we've received over the years.
