ABOUT US
We are a small mixed farm located on the Bay of Fundy in the rural coastal community of Scots Bay, Nova Scotia.
OUR PEOPLE
Joel Huntley is from Scots Bay and with deep family roots in the community since the 1750s. The farmstead is over 100 years old and we're honoured to now steward this land, house and outbuildings in various states of repair (!). Along with our small children Grace (10) and Connor (8), Joel Huntley & Ann Doyle Huntley co-own the farm business and work the land that feeds us. Grace is an amazing barn cat wrangler and Connor loves hauling hay bales. We're convinced that a life "on the land" is the best spot to learn about hard work, responsibility, and outdoor FUN!
OUR ANIMALS
Our livestock are healthy and stress-free and over the years have included: grass-fed cattle, heritage breed pigs, free range meat chickens & laying hens, a small flock of Shetland sheep, Alpine dairy goats, and a working Percheron draft horse, Queenie. The kids are growing into fine farm helpers - we fence, hay, maintain & improve many acres of pasture land, partner with other farmers in our community, and grow lots of veggies each year to feed both livestock and all of us.
We are deeply committed to place, stewarding our land & volunteering in our community. We're so grateful for the support we've received over the years. It is an honour to help feed our community.
